スルーライン展示の並びには、最初いくつかのルールがありました。その中の一つは知り合いの写真が含まれていなければ、スルーラインというタイトルが使えません。しかし、今回の並びを考えてた時にカビネプリントには多くの友人の写真がありましたが、今回の展示に合わないと気づきました。写真は、世界を通り抜ける僕の明確な一本の線です。ここにあるのは、その線に沿って、この6か月のあいだに出会った、知らない人々やその他のものを写した23枚の写真で構成しました。

At first I had these sort of rules for what a Throughline show needed. It needed, amongst other things, to have pictures of people I know. If that was ever missing, I’d need a different title. Yet, when I was working through prints for this one I found that, despite having many photos of people I know amongst the work prints, this show made more sense to me without them. Photography is my clear line through the world. Here are 23 pictures of strangers and other things from along that line over the last six months.
